4310 owners power beyond?

I have power beyond on my 4310. The 48 backhoe is on my ultimate wish list. In the mean time I want to power a couple of open center valves one specifically for a hydraulic top link. What has thrown me is that there are (3) ports with a hose connecting 2 of them. Which port would power a valve and them which is the return? Then what is the third port for? I've checked all of my manuals and can't find a description.

I would suspect the one with the hose is the Power Beyond high pressure line, the port it's connected to is the return line, the other connection is the return to tank.

So do you use all three ports to power a valve?

It depends on the valve you purchase. Some have only one "OUT" port some have 2. Some valves have a dedicated port for the exhuasting of fluid from the work ports of the valve. In this case you connect that one to the return to tank line. For the typical open center double acting valve without power beyond you would only use the "return" line. Your Power Beyond hose would connect to the "IN" port of the valve and the "OUT" port on the valve would connect to the "return" line/connection. Hope this helps.

And that return line would be the port where the loop of the hose is connected to currently, and this gives power back to the tph...???
