Rob,
While I haven't priced your exact configuration locally, it would seem a little high. Last July, I purchased my 4400 with 430 loader. They were never priced separately, only as a package. My price for the combo was $19,700.00. Using the J.D. configurator, my combo prices out at:
Tractor -- $21, 824.00
Loader -- $3604.00 (73" standard bucket)
Total -- $24,824.00
Savings -- $5,124.00 (I believe that J.D. has taken a recent price increase which is reflected in the prices on their configurator site. I don't remember my discount being quite this high at the time, but it was close)
Using the configurator to get MSRP prices for your setup:
Tractor -- $19837.00 (this includes your options of 4Wd, hydro, dual scv, rear light kit, turf tires. Since you didn't say otherwise, I priced it with the fixed ROPS which is standard)
Loader -- 3704.00 (you didn't say which 73" bucket, but since your price was so high, I priced it with the HD bucket. Not sure how they're getting you up to $4000.00 unless they're adding some for installation.)
Total -- $23,541.00
Your quoted price -- $21,860.00
Savings -- $1681.00
That's not even a 10% discount. I think I'd visit some other dealers and see if you couldn't do better. Given the amount of equipment your buying all at once, it doesn't seem that they're cutting you much slack.
Can't tell you much about the implements except that if you want to see J.D.'s MSRP you can price them on the
. Unless you just really want a green tiller, you may want price some other brands. I've heard some good things about the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.kingkutter.com/downloads/Tiller_manual.pdf>KingKutter tiller which is a gear drive instead of chain drive. When I purchased my tractor I also purchased, as part of my total package, a LandPride 2562 tiller, a LandPride 2566 box blade and a LandPride 1560 rotary cutter. Price for all three implements was $3850.00, only $650.00 more than your tiller alone. Just food for thought.
