You might want to check out the Midwest brand of rotary cutters at Carter & Carter.
I'm not knocking JD's cutters but Midwest have some great specs, at about half the price.

Thanks! I was thinking about iMatch, but I'd be better off with the Midwest Quick Hitch, so it is well woth it for the savings.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifsorry,can't tell if i'm happy with it yet,i'm waiting for it to come in /forums/images/graemlins/frown.giffor me certain things came into play when comparing the big 3,first the jd was the one that fit me the best,next nh,and then the kubota,i just felt cramped on the others and not the jd.next up here in the cold i was impressed with the ease of starting on the jd,nh started but started in my opinion,very hard.next was the the test drive on the jd and was impressed with the turning radius,i felt it turned very sharp even though it does not have "supersteer"also the dealer was very nice and an important consideration in the process as well,so overall the jd won, tractor fit best good price and good dealer treatment and recommondations on here,i feel i will be very happy /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

You will be happy with your John Deere. It is a good tractor and from you say, you like your dealer and that is important. I have a New Holland TC29 and when winter started coming around I did also not like the way it started. I complained to my dealer and he told me that I have to run the glow plugs through two or three cycles. Which was kind of a pain. But someone else on TBN told me that I didn't have to run through cycles. I did find in the book that once you start the plugs even though the light goes out, the glow plugs stay energised. My dealer told me I had to turn the key off and back on again to get a second cycle. Using the method in the book and keeping the plugs energized for an additional 5 or 10 seconds made a major difference. My tractor starts right off now. Moral of the story, read your manual even though you think your dealer knows everything.

that makes sense to me,i had the dealer go and start a tc29 on the lot,it was cold about 5 above 0 and he had some trouble getting it started,i assume the dealer would know how to start it best in cold to show me it would be easy and if he didn't know how to do that then maybe it wasn't the dealer to be dealing with.starting was a consideration but the fit was one of the major choices for me.i'm going to the open house today at kc canary,my dealer,and check out what's going on ,maybe another test drive /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
