Thanks mopar.

Snowplow residue at the end of the driveway is no problem for me. I have a deep drainage ditch along the edge of the road. Virtually all of the snow from the plow goes in the ditch before it gets to the mouth of my driveway. If I can drive through the snow that's fallen, I can get out the end of the driveway with out clearing snow.

Do you use ballast weight on the rear with the snowblower installed?

Jeff,
I use a ballast box full of old weightlifting plates to counterweight the 59" blower. I additionally need and use chains fore and aft for traction on my steep drive.

we did put the ballast box on the rear filled with sand.did run it once with out the box and worked ok but had much better grip with it on.we run no chains.again we have been very happy with it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
