I'm looking at a 4320 e-Hydro Cab Tractor, 400x loader, & i-Match Hitch. Dealer went down to $30,375.00 and agreed to install 2-Rear Work Lights at no cost.

Dealer also offered me $12.900.00 for my 1999 JD 4300 hydro and 420 Loader, which is a difference of $17,475.

This might be a done deal if the mechanic can get the A/C to cool down a bit more. I test drove the 4320 for about 30 minutes in 100-degree weather and the cab did not seem to cool down enough.

I would appreciate your thoughts on whether this sound like a good or bad deal.

Thanks,
ArkLaTexSam

I thought it was a fair price, but it can be hard to tell sometimes. I hope a mechanic can get the A/C to cool down more. I was not impressed with the inside temp at all. I ran the tractor at different rpm speeds for about 20 minutes and never cld get the air comfortable. I can't justify the purchase if the air does not work well.

Sounds like a good deal. I got a price of 4320 with cab and loader for 32,000, but the dealer wasn't even in the ball park on the trade. Keep me posted on the air conditioning, because if it isn't adequate, the cab option isn't worth the cost to me.

I think he will get the A/C to blow cold. The JD cabs are like the Kubota cabs in that they can really lose efficiency if the filter bringing fresh air into the cab is clogged much (and they do clog rather easily with dust and pollen etc.) and he needs to make sure that not only is the radiator screen clear, but the other screen in front of the condenser. If that doesn't work, it may need a charge or something else. I obviously don't know the tractor, but I'd bet that either the filter is clogged some or one of the screens is clogged some. I compared the JD cabs with the Kubota cabs and both were able to cool down rather well on a day in the upper 90's with high humidity. Good luck!

Thanks for your information. The tractor is brand new and dealer is still working on it.

Any update on the AC? With my 5525 cab, sometimes the AC blows colder than other times. I have not found a pattern, but it rocks regardless. The curved glass in the rear is really nice - visibility factor, etc.

When it comes to having cold air during a 100+ day I get picky. The air simply can not be too cold for me. However, I compared a few JD Tractors of the same caliber and found that all of them perform about the same. I learned that you can't jump in one of these tractors on a burning hot day after the tractor has been parked outside and expect sleet to pour out of the vents. It takes a long time to cool down the cab. As one acclimates to the gradual cooling down it becomes quiet comfortable.

I purchased the 4320 cab w/R4 Tires, 400x loader, and i-match. The dealer had it delivered Saturday. I plan on upgrading my MX5 to a MX6 or equivalent off brand at a later date. I also plan on having the windows tinted. Other than smoothing out of few rough spots on my place I haven't had a chance to work the tractor. So far, I am well pleased with this machine.

-and did I fell to mention that the 4320 is parked under the carport and my Z71 is under the shade tree. When it comes to tractor nuts this forum ROCKS!

ArkLaTex,
I think you wound up with a really good deal. I just went for the same deal minus the i-Match (I got the adustable lift arms instead) and came out at $31640. Not only that, but the sales guys is telling me that since the tractor (which is on the lot) didn't have the loader and they have to order one for it, it will be the 8th of August before they can get one in. Makes me wait three weeks just about for delilvery and I'm not real happy with that.
