I'm quite a ways from there, I live about 26 miles north of Spokane and I'm orginally from Montana. Jim

Thanks for the reply Jim.

Well on to the machinery report from tonights first use action.

I definetely need a soft cab for sure.

The only changes made prior to using the snowblower was lowering the skids to the very bottom position, I am glad I did as I would have been throwing mud in spots. Hopefully the ground will start freezing again tonight.

My asphault driveway is so broken up I am glad I lowered the skids as it left a nice skim coat of snow on the driveway.

The snow blower worked well, I had lots of traction with the 2 link chains on the rear and the rear weight box with 82 pounds of suitcase weights.

The spout was bit finicky and I had to move the spout by hand a couple of times-rust in cable ends most likely

I will have to see about buying a set of snow blower chains for the front tires as the front did nothing but slide trying to turn with the snow blower on the ground and unless I was continualy cutting pie wedges of snow out running forward and back constantly when opening up areas.

The trip out to the coal and wood pile were uneventfull and we moved a lot of snow opening thr path from the back of the wood pile to the rear shed which gets finished tomorrow as I have to move the generator to the hoop shed.

Having chains on the front will solve the sliding problem.

I will have to dry out and melt the snow off the tractor and snowblower tomorrow and do several things after it is dried out.

1. Lubricate the spout cable at the spout and the lock handle with Fluid Film

2. Tighten the standoff mounted in the cargo mount on the left side of the
dash that holds the spout rotator and chute control.

3. Spray the snow blower with Fluid Film to aid in slicking it.

4. Buy spare shear pins as I have none.

5. The installing of the slick sheets in the auger and impeller housing will have to wait a bit.

I do wish the auger(s) were a solid drum as it would reduce the front build up when using the snow blower-I never had this issue with the 1967 IH CUB single stage I used and owned. The design of the current model with the center drive shaft prohibits this though as the snow blower is belt driven with no chain drive for the open auger(s).

It's time to go night night, stay warm my friends.
