4410\'s still available...
There is a lot to like about the John Deere 4000TEN series. It is early to tell if they can attain anything of the icon status of the 4020's in the day... (The old 4020's from the 60's, that is. Why are these numbers recycled so much..?) While I am sure that the 3000TWENTYs are great machines, I can see users who would be better suited, or just prefer a 4000TEN.
And of any, the 4410 is the one to get. Don't get me wrong. I have no complaints with my 4310. I understand it was Deere's most popular model. I can't think of anything that a 4410 would do over a 4310, except just a little faster...
I probably should never say this, but I pull an MX6 and have no complaints with it. That says a lot.
But if you are shopping mid size Deeres right now, don't forget the 4410. It is smack between the 3320 and 3520 in performance, probably could be had for less than either. In some ways the 10 series might surpass the 20's in ergonomics (slightly...) It is possible that the loader performance may be better...
The 3000TWENTYs have some real considerations, as well...
If a buyer is at high altitude, the turbo is the ONLY way to go.
The TWENTYs are quieter, and cleaner burning (I have no complaints about emissions with mine, though...)
There may be different tire options on the new ones...
As best as I can tell, 4410's can still be ordered. They are probably already assembles and siting in holding lots. They can only be ordered with DSCVs and 3 point hitches. (at one time you could delete both of these...)
One final consideration is the experience of 4410 owners. If you squint at the pictures of them you can see they look a little, well whistful. Like maybe they wished they had gotten a 4310...
