Looking at adding a 447 to my 3320 (already have PB)--anybody priced one out in the last couple of months? Initial quote is 10% off list with charges for install and delivery/Pick up (net of appx. 7K with taxes). I think I should be able to do better, and wonder about doing the install myself (after reading some of the older posts). Don't see a need to spend the $1300.00 or so extra for the 448.
Thanks,
B8fish

I went with the 448 for my 3320. It's the perfect match of power and reach. It's a lot heavier than the 447. When I bought mine there was a 447 and 448 side by side on two 3320's. It made the decision easy. I paid just about 8k including PB, installation and delivery.

I bought a 447 back in January for $5900 cash and carry ,including the power beyond kit.Did the install myself ,not that bad ,probably 3 hours and I took the fenders off (you can drill clearance holes for bolts, but I,d rather not).I have a 4300 but I,m sure its similar.I actually dont live to far from you (I,m near Batavia) .Got mine from Goodridge in Oakfield ,good people to deal with.

Jeff--thanks I'll have to give them a call. Any second thoughts on the 447/448 debate? I think that the 447 would be more than adequate for my needs--and at the price you paid I would move on it in a heartbeat.
Thanks,
Todd

Your welcome.I like my 447 and it has enoph power to throw my tractor around.Admittedly more reach would be nice,Ive put in a couple of water service trenchs at close to six feet deep (code being minimum five) with no problem but do have to move tractor frequently ,but can be done without getting off BH seat. The reason I choose over 448 was on my tractor JD recommends subframe for 447 and requires it with 448 (this doesn,t apply to your tractor)and since I have a MMM I didnt want to mess with it.For my limited use I just didnt see the need to put the extra strain on the chassis. Also at that price I did jump on it quick, the whole deal took about 10 mins, salesman even said "that was easy".If you do call ask for Tom K ,good guy!

I priced the 447 when I bought my 3320 in August. It was $5400 installed, I just could not afford it at the time. JC

Thanks JC. I'm thinking that if I can get one for 6K installed now, I'll have one for Christmas!

I have the 447, and more reach and power would be nice at times.

I went with the 447 because the 448 weighs about 500 pounds more. Which makes it harder to wheel around on a cart inside the barn for storage. Also adds weight when trailering the tractor. I was also paranoid about stress from the 448 versus the 447 (probably not a real issue).

If your not going to store it inside on a cart and not going to trailer it, you might want to think about getting the 448 instead. Its about 30%-50% more hoe.
