Barj, you said you snuffed it while moving, and needed the brake pedal to help you get it out of gear. Is there any way you can move it backwards or forward a bit? Even though the shifter is in neutral is the tractor?

virgil said:Wallace is correct. The machine will not start if the range selector is in geer. It has to be in neutral.
Its possible you have a ground wire not grounding proper, Check the Battery Ground First.Barj said:Ok. Thanks everyone for your help. Everything you've suggested I tried earlier but to no avail. Fortunately the dealer that sold it to me, Maxwell Farm Service, have been awesome every step of the way and sent over a couple of techs. I think in the end the answer was to disconnect all power and start over. I worked that tractor hard today. As I've mentioned before, we have a laneway over 1 k long and with nearly a meter of new snow this week..... I've sent a picture (no, the whole laneway wasn't that deep). Unfortunately when it stalled it was stuck in a tunnel 4 feet high by 20 feet long 9sorry no pictures). Not a easy space tp work in. Thanks again all.
