Hey there Wallace
You are probably about pulling too large a cutter behind Mah 4110. In my case I tried the Woods to see what would happen. 8 ft Brush Bull specs call for 40 hp or better tractor. The Bull weighs 1289 lbs. The 6 ft one weighs in at 1039 only 150 lbs less weight than 8 ft. Of course a smaller hp tractor needed for 6 foot; 30 hp. I think water in front tires and some other weight on front would make the 4110 handle fine. When the cutter starts out it takes a while to wind up. Once it's moving, it's a cuttin son of a gun. The Mahindra rated at 41 hp. and the B Bull needs 40 hp. tractor seems like a border line match to me. Maybe not the best, but should be ok. My question, why would one have to worry about a broken pto shaft? Do you think that cutter would put that much of a strain on the tractor PTO?
By the way, if I were buying a brush hog, I would go for 6 ft and maybe consider 7 ft. I do realize it's pushing it for 8 ft. It's just I have the Woods and it's almost new.
Cheers......Coffeeman
