Just curious how much more the telescopic links are?

Dont know why I didnt get it last year with my 4720, got every other option available! Maybe cause I use Imatch, does that make sense?

Right - most people say one or the other. I ditched my i-match. Too many non-imatch implements.

its with everything I listed but the vertical exhaust you all think its good or bad?

The advantage of the vertical exhaust is the fumes. If you do work around the tractor, especially the loader area, the fumes get annoying. Another disadvantage of the horizontal exhaust is in soot depostion on the loader and engine cover. Not with the vertical exhaust. A third advantage of the vertical, is it just looks too cool. If you want to add it later the cost is not great. However, if you buy it with the purchase, the dealer will probably cut the hole in the hood (takes a large keyhole saw) and put it on for free.

The noise level is the same. Vertical exhaust is taller but the cab is still higher than the exhaust. The vertical exhauset is easy to remove- just lift it off to open the hood. It even has a protective gaurd to grab so you can remove it when it is hot. My JD 5300 required leather gloves or towel around the vertical stack to remove it when hot.

I also added the horn later- $35. With a cab, no one can hear you if their attention is needed. Honk the horn, a few hand signals, and your good to go!

I bought my 3720 cab nearly completely loaded with most options. Bought the tractor for 18% off list including all options. Dealer added all options at no labor cost which is a $$ saver unless you do it yourself later. This is probably a better price than most dealers will give.

If you work by yourself alot as I do, you may find it best to have both telescopic links and I Match. It is easier to hang the IMatch adaptor on the tractor than it is for me to move the MX6 or other heavy implements. My BB1284 is heavy and is not I Match compatible and I now use a combination of top and tilt with the telescopic links to make this doable by myself. So the ability to choose under varying circumstances is a real plus.

As far as the horizontal vs. vertical exhaust goes you have to weigh the benefits against the inconveinence of removing the stack to open the hood.

Honestly, people, is it that hard/complicated/time consuming to spend a second to remove a piece of metal pipe that comes off so simply? Really?

It might be when it is new, but after a number of years I bet you will hate it.

I think you are vastly over exaggerating the complexity of removing the muffler. How many times a month or year does the hood get opened? Maybe 1-2 times a month? It may take me 20 seconds, to remove the pipe, set it on the ground, pick it up again and reinstall.

I cut grass every 10 days, so so far since I have had the tractor I have used it 9 times for that. On top of that I can't even remember the numerous times I have used it to do other things. I store the tractor under a tarp for the time being so the exhaust has to be installed/removed every time I use the tractor. I have yet to find it bothersome because 1. it is soooooooo simple to do, and 2. I would rather have the vertical exhaust and not eat fumes all day.

And to add another thing, before this JD, the only FEL tractor I had to use was an IH 340. It has a vertical exhaust which has to be installed/removed every time it's used and I have no problem with that either for the same exact reasons.
