455 PTO issue

I have a '98 455 M00455C062156 that has developed PTO issues with the mower. The deck started to shut off after cutting for awile. I could push in the PTO and get it going again. Now when it shuts off it will not engage again until you let it sit awhile. Even then it engages and shuts off right away. It looks like what ever is at fault has about totally failed which is good for troubleshooting.

I thought it might be the PTO solenoid and replaced that without checking the service manual. No go on that. I have the service manual and I'm goiing through the troubleshooting section on the PTO. I don't have the RIO feature.

I'm looking at the test steps and some of them I can't figure out. It says to test battery voltage at control/fuse module terminal E. From the test point page I don't see anything labeled terminal E. I have tested the brake and seat switches already.

I'm thinking I have an issue with the control/fuse module which gets replaced with the ignition switch. I don't want to just replace it without know that it is the issue since I already replaced a good PTO solenoid. There are LEDs on the control module and I'm trying to figure out how to read them. I think one is green and there is a red one. I was wondering if the LEDs might point to the bad component.

My 425 had same issue. Problem was the circuit board where those LEDs behind and below instrument panel. There is a flaky relay on that circuit board.

Fix was to replace circuit board with ignition switch as they both hardwired together.

I'm thinking its the circuit board as well. Reading the diagnosis steps closer. Each step is marked on the PTO circuit test point diagram. You read the step and find the test point on the diagram. You move one step at a time following the results of the step. That should help narrow the cause of the issue.
