460 loader grease zert won\'t take grease

Ok, need help. Been greasing my loader zerts every 10 hours, because I use it so much. Now one of the zerts won't take grease. I put the gun on it, and squeeze as hard as I can, and can't get it to go. So I pulled the zert, cleaned it up, and then put it in the grease gun and it took grease fine. So I reinstalled it, thinking it would work. No dice. Same problem all over again. So anybody ever had this problem? And solutions?? I need to grease this point - been using the loader a lot. All help appreciated.

Josh, you don't say what position the loader is in at the time you tried to grease it, but if the zerk is OK (as you indicated) then I would suspect the metal pieces between which you want the grease to go might be pressed together too tightly. I'd try moving (flexing) that particular joint and try again. In other words, if you were trying to grease it with the loader in the air, I'd lower it and try again, or vice versa.

The pin may be pressed against the Zerk hole. Try starting the tractor and moving the loader until the pin is pressing against the other side of the bushing.

Did you try moving the loader to a different position.Sometimes more or less pressure on the bushing will allow the grease to flow.

Thanks guys. I'll try that in the morning. All the other points would take it - couldn't figure it out. Hope this will work.
