Price Check 4600 Pricing - Good Deal?

Congradulations on your newest family member! I have enjoyed mine tremendously. Sure there have been a few minor things but the dealer picked it right up and made the corrections and returned it. Due to other commitments I have only 27 hours on it but they where the most enjoyable 27 tractor hours that I have ever had. Follow the owners manual and keep the wheel bolts torqued. One thing that maybe someone here can clarify is the proper amount of torque on the wheel bolts. The owners manual shows to torque to 114 ft lbs. and the dealer serviceman said that the shop manual only calls for 80 ft. lbs. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Lets us know how you like the way it performs. My only regret is I wished I had a weekend job, then I would only have to work 2 days and could be on my tractor for the other 5!/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

My dealer's service has been very good - although I've not had to really use it other than obtain Q/A. I didn't realize torque was an issue, though. Thanks for the comments.

I'm looking forward to working with it. The 72" finish mower did a fantastic job on my 2+ acres of grass.

Yup. I saw that - I spoke with my dealer and part of the reduction I received was reflected in the price decrease on the 4600.

I'm still very happy with the purchase and needless to say, it looks awfully spiffy in the Polebarn... .

Congratulations on the purchase of the 4600. I'm sure you'll be quite pleased with it as I am with my 4710. These JD units are smooth running performers. Show us some pics when you can.
