4672A Backhoe

I have a Kubota B7610 tractor with a 3 point hitch.

I am trying to remove the backhoe (model 4672A) but it has been so long I have forgotten how. The last time I removed it it took 3 people.

Any body know a good way for an old fireman to remove this unit short of a crane ?

I think the best way to remove the backhoe is to let the backhoe do the work for you. Go to a level area to park the backhoe, reduce tractor rpm and lower the outriggers and boom till they just touch the ground. First remove the locking pin on the 3pth then using the boom push on the ground to tip the backhoe into the tractor to relieve pressure on the 3pth upper link and remove the pin. You may have to feather the controls to get things just right. You may also have to adjust the outriggers if the ground isn't level to get the pin to pull out easy. Then lower the 3pth and then the outriggers to the ground and remove the 3pth arm pins. Remove the pump and drive away. I haven't put the backhoe this year so I'm kind of going by memory, but the key to getting everything lined up was using the backhoe itself to shift things slightly.

I know that this is an old thread, but I just recently removed and re-installed my 4672 BH from my B7610 after owning the tractor for over 8 years. Removing the BH was not as difficult as re-installing it and the manual was less than helpful. The key to reinstalling the BH is to line up and install the 3pth first after connecting the pump to the pto. Once that is done, the 3pth arms can be connected. I hope that this become easier over time, but either way is is still dangerous to be backing and reaching behind the tractor to move the arms out of the way of the BH to line up. Hope this helps anyone out there with this set up.
