Did you ever diagnose the problem? My 2004 MF 471 tier 2, no cab, 2wd is doing the same thing. I purchased it new and has been trouble free. 7 years ago I was bailing hay and it died like it ran out of fuel. Put on a oem fuel pump from the dealership and it fixed it that day. This summer it has been slow about starting. I thought air in the fuel initially. I found some quick connect fuel feed lines sucking air and replaced those again with OEM fittings from the dealership. Everything seemed fine and today the engine stalled under load bush hogging just like I ran out fuel. This time I can hear the fuel pump priming as I turn ignition on. I have a good flow of fuel when I open the drain bowl.
