Finally made my mind up and ordered a 4720 yesterday. Will be replacing the current 3320.

My 3320 is pretty plain jane, but the 4720 is going to be loaded :D

Great choice!!! When did they give you for a delivery date? The waiting is enough to kill a man!!!

Good for you. Post some pics when you get it home.

Dealer has stated approximately 4 weeks.

Open Station 4720 (loaded compared to my current 3320)
400cx loader with third function hydraulic lines and standard 73" bucket
540/540e PTO
hood guard
auto style cruise
R4 tires
electric diverter kit (5 total scvs)
top-n-tilt kit

I think I'm really going to like the stronger loader, economy PTO, top-n-tilt kit, and SCVs to the rear. I have really enjoyed my 3320, but it didn't have any SCVs to the rear, and it had the standard 300x loader.

I stepped up last year from a 3720 to 4520, both with cabs. I switched from R4's to R1's on the 4520. Although the size specs are not dramatically different, the 4520 seems significantly larger and more powerful. Some of the feeling of larger is due to the height and clearance of the 4x20 series. The stability of the 4520 is vastly better than the 3720 and probably the most noticeable difference.

Congrats! Waiting for a 5083E myself to replace an older 2350 straddle. Told me 6-8wks for delivery, mid to late April. Good luck & enjoy, that is a beautiful machine.

The 5083e was the other tractor in my sights when shopping; enjoy yours also.

Congrats on your new tractor! Lookin' forward to seeing your pictures, too.

(Any chance you could get the dealer to swap the standard "materials" bucket for the HD one before delivery? I think you'll be happier down the road..)

My current bucket is JD's Heavy Duty, but it is only 60" wide. The new one is a standard duty, but it is 73" wide; and I definitely want the larger capacity. I'm not overly abusive with my bucket, so it should work. However, when it arrives, if it appears to be too light duty, I'm sure the dealer would let me upgrade. From what I've seen, the only difference between the standard duty and heavy duty would be the ability to bolt on a cutting edge ?? Anybody know for sure ?

THANKS

Beavis,
You will love this tractor congrats on it.

Don't know the difference for sure but can tell you after 600 hrs on my 110 the bucket looks good as new. I have the heavy duty model with bolt in cutting edge.

If you'll look at your 60" bucket - you should see the additional 3/8" flat plate steel along the sides of the bucket - near the leading edge. Also, check out the top of the bucket. It's much heavier (and reinforced) steel there, too.

Thanks for the information......I'll take a look.

Beavis,
You are way better off going to the heavy duty buckets, these will maintain a straight edge and last a long time. I would buy a 72"hd bucket and never look back.

Curious we're thinking about 4720 with R4's, all our other tractors have R1's,
what made you go with the R1's.

Better traction in wet and muddy conditions. R4's "fill up and slick out" in mud; and they don't clean out.
