Tstat still out,
I Mowed 3hrs ystrda at 2400rpms, then temp hand started easing over to red.
I lowered rpm to 2100 but eventually had to idle engine a few mins then shut it down.

The grille was completely coated with new & old grass clippings.

The exhaust blows this up & fan sucks it into grille.

I cleaned it off & chkd radiator - OK.

Temp stayed normal then :D

Hi BD.
You may want to consider the "Vertical Exhaust Pipe" conversion kit for the 4720. It is an option from JD.
The template for the hole in the bonnet (hood) is already moulded into the underside surface. No guessing where to cut the hole. You can see it by raising the hood and looking at the area approx where the exhaust manifold would be. Two circles overlapping. One each for 3x20 & 4x20 as both models share the same panelwork.

:wrench:

That's a thought.
I turned exh pipe down on my 5093E to use in my poultry houses & it blew feathers too bad so I turned it back up & shortened it about 18" best I remember.

Temp hand stayed to the right side of green & never in the red.
No more overheating :D
