\'48 JD A transmission filler hole?

Can anyone tell me where the transmission filler hole is?

Engine and Power Trol are easy to spot.

Had a "B" J.D. of about the same vintage and a breather pipe on the right side by the pulley maybe close to the magneto. was the filler pipe. How long had you had the "A' ? might find some parts in the tractor shed

There is a forum for Vintage Tractors a little farther down the list. You might post there and get more information. If that doesn't work, try yesterdaystractors.com. That site is dedicated to antique tractors. There is a John Deere forum there where you can get pretty much any info you need on any old Deere. Or any other old tractor for that matter.
