Henro, personally I agree, for myself anyway, that the deck isn't too hard to manage. (By the way, I hear you loud & clear about that, "when I'm 87" business-gettin' there way too fast./forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif) The reason for saying that the MMM CAN be involved is due to what I've read from others in a thread several months back. I don't use my loader for lift. I'm fortunate to have a smooth concrete surface and can roll both the MMM and the tractor back & forth to finnegle the thing in & out pretty easily. In reading that other thread it appeared that for people who have say, only a rough gravel area or muddy surface on which to work, they seemed to have a much rougher go at it than I do. Lots of people also have a tough time with the pin on the left rear roller too, as the roller pins itself against the tire and can make removing the pin a chore. That thread also gives several solutions different folks have come up with.

Anyways, for a new guy with a question, I just wanted to express that the experience I've had may be different than the experiences other folks have had. Better to have the insights of many rather than just a few. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Now I may think different in 20 years when I am 87...but that is the way it works for me now...

How does one voice a retraction to a comment made...I wonder...guess by saying 57 +20 = 77... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif And I thought I did OK in math, too... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Tom H, I know what you mean. I think the key is having the front wheels on the BX up in the air somehow.

The only thing I wonder about is why one time I get the drive shaft on the PTO without any effort, and the next time it is a bit of a struggle...for a minute or so. Don't have a clue why this should be so...but it is, even with the PTO shaft wiped clean with a cloth and a bit of lub sprayed on it... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Henro; I read a tip on one of the threads here on TBN about putting the PTO selector in the rear PTO position when you attach the MMM shaft. I don't know whom to give the credit to; but I tried it the last time I had the MMM off and it works like a charm.

Will,

I'll give that a try several times and see what happens!

Thanks for the tip... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: 48\' MOWER OR 54\" MOWER bx1500

I bought the 48 in mower because it fits on my trailer and the 54 is too wide. Yeah its got a plastic discharge chute, the wheels don't swivel, and the rears don't even adjust for height but I still like it. My friend and I take care of about 10 properties with a pair of 1500's and we like the machine's a lot. Some of these properties have landscaping to mow around and the 48 is great for those narrow spaces. As far as attatch-detatch goes, the little deck slides out easily on my garage floor. Deck thickness is the same for both as far as I know.
