Don’t know what you mean by “Your Storey, go with it “. Hydro One employees have an almost identical PWU contract as OPG.
And what are you saying? I have no clue about hydro one employees. Are you one?

We致e gotten cats down without issue, no tranquilizing necessary. It痴 part of the job. You won稚 find too many lineman scared of cats.

Here was the last one:View attachment 591826

Not a lot of horizontal crossarm construction down in these parts anymore, looks like 10' arms with that spread you could rescue a bear, plenty of room between those 2 feeders.

I suspect the linemen took about an hour for the 田risis and were paid the minimum call in time of four hours at double time plus one hour of straight time travel pay.

Management wouldn't send a crew out on overtime for that reason. If a crew was told about it they probably did it on the way to another job and absorbed the cost in with their real job orders.

There’s a big push for us with wildlife. I can’t remember the % of outages wildlife creates, but I want to say it was the majority on blue sky days. Whether it be squirrels, raccoons, aviation, etc. The picture I posted of the cat on the pole was in Chicago, on a pole with two 34kv circuits on it. So if that cat locks a 34kv feeder out in Chicago, the cost will be much greater, than having us go out there and spend an hour getting the cat down. That was actually on a Sunday, so they did pay us overtime for it. Again, much cheaper for the company than the alternative.

The majority of our new construction is on arms still, except single phase (ridge pin and a spool for the neutral). We’re still using wood cross arms and just recently as of a couple years ago changed over to fiberglass for the dead end arms. We do have some Hendrix going in but that’s mostly in the wooded areas. What are you guys using? Stand off insulators mounted to the pole?

Seems that by your own admission, YOU are clueless. You are quite the troll, hopping from one conversation to the next stirring up trouble everywhere you go while not really contributing anything useful. Get a life you socialist piece of garbage!
