4820C roof removal?

Has anyone removed their roof on a 4820C or similar?

Any tips or pointers before I dive in?

I have removed mine several times but it is the 15 series so not sure how different it is. Pretty simple, remove all the bolts around the perimeter, lift up to unplug the antenna from the radio, then lift off.

I've removed my roof for repairs when it cracked in in -40F, it is not hard, just make sure you get a buddy assisting in lifting the top hat off. Its usually between 6-8 bolts holding it to cab frame.

If you have access to the parts manual, it will show all of the bolts. TYM used to have the parts and repair manuals as free downloads on tymworld.com. If you don't see the manuals, they have a form you can fill out, and they might send you the pdf or the link. They have started selling the hardcopies, so may not want to give away the pdfs. If you get the manuals, it helps in the future if when you have things apart, to annotate the manuals with sizes, i.e. 8-1.25X30. The TYm part number isn't of much use in buying a replacement out of the bins at the parts house.

Late to the party as usual, here is a breakdown I pulled from the parts breakdown of the roof assembly, hopefully this will help you with the removal, but as for complexity, its not very complex to remove or reinstall them, there are 8-10 bolts that hold the roof outer shell to the top of the cabin structure, once you have the bolts, out gently lift up the back place a small piece of 2x4 in there as a prop to hold the back up while you disconnect the lights, once you've got them disconnect repeat on the front side the have a buddy help you lift it up and slide it gently down the side of the cab and preform what ever work you need to do.
