4shorts does full service on my bx and repairs axle leak

Thought that viewers would like to take a gander at videos that Paul (4shorts) made during the work he just finished on my Kubota BX. Here's a list of the work done:
Full service, including all filters and fluids
Fixed slow leaks in both front tires by installing inner tubes
Completely refurbished the brush/bush guard including sand blasting and painting
Shortened the ROPS so that I can leave it up and locked at all times (to fit my garage entrance)
AND fixed a slow leak in front axle - worth seeing this video alone (the third video covers most of this procedure)

To the OP, your very lucky to live close to a man with such passion and skill work on your tractor.
All his work is first class, and with his care and knowledge, I,m sure your machine is now better than new.
He is one of the very few I would have no worries about working on my vehicles or equipment.

ROPS steel is nothing special, not rocket science to weld either. 4 Shorts is a very good welder, likely better than the minimum wage welder that build the ROPS.

IMO shortening a few inches wont hurt it, as long as it is still a bit above head height, it will function properly. Having it a bit shorter so it goes inside a garage door and kept up all the time is much better than having it let down all the time, which I would bet most folks do if it wont fit in the shed.

Another look at the ROPS and if shortened from the bottom portion, it looks like it would be just a matter of drilling some new bolt holes so no welding involved.

Exactly - that's why I had the BX transported out to Paul 100 km away rather than using a service about 10 km away.

My ROPS on the BX is 1.5" too tall and I still managed to fit into the shed once with the ROPS up!

It was starting to rain and in my hurry to get it inside I forgot about the ROPS until my BX did a wheelie going under the header... talk about embarrassing!

Often thought how nice it would be to lower it 2" and never have to fold again...
