Wow thanks guys this is great stuff, I really appreciate the information.

This is part of a 2 week trip starting off in St. Louis and visiting Branson, Mo, Little Rock Ar, Tulsa, OK, Topeka, Kansas, Kansas City, Mo, Springfield,Il and then back to St. Louis. Part of our bucket list to see the lower 48 just a few more states after this trip. We hope to get to all 50 states with Alaska and Hawaii being the icing on the bucket.

I might be stompin around that part of the US about that time, maybe Branson around the 4th... If gas prices don't get too high.

Southwest Airlines to St. Louis then renting a car. I am trying to decide Ford Fusion or Chevy Impala, I am thinking gas will be in the $4.50 gallon range come the summer. The Fusion will be better on gas, with an AARP discount only about $50 difference between the two. Huge difference picking up the car off the airport property, $20 cab fare to save $500 makes a lot of sense.:drink:

Great that is where we are heading today.

Fill up outside of Branson if you can. Springfield or Ozark is always good. Branson is always higher than surrounding areas. Tourist prices, you understand.

Just fyi on the Edmond firework display. Be prepared to fight the traffic when the display finishes. I don't know if anyone said, but the display is at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Dave thanks for the info, we plan to attend so that was very helpful info, leaving a fireworks show and traffic go together. Any suggestions on where to park to reduce the time needed to get out of he mess?
