I see that JD offers a confusing aray of X series models. Some with 4wd some with 4WS. Are there any that have both? It would seem to be a relatively simple matter to alter an X575 with 4WD to accomadate pieces/parts from and X475 AWS.
Yeah, I know, it's never that simple. I'm sure the 4WD models convolutes the steering some how enough that adding steering to the rear wheels would require re-alignment of the planets. Any one think it is actually possible to convert a 4WD X model to use 4WS as well...quit laughing.

Strangely enough, I've had the same observation - I did find a fascinating tractor that has both 4WD and AWS, though. Check out Power Trac. Power Trac's Web Page There is also quite an active forum here on TBN. Fascinating design.
