Yes, *really nice* /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I don't know how many times I've neen outside in short sleeves one day only to be digging out the winter boots a couple days later.
I am very surprised that the power lines weren't downed. I found out today that the post where I mounted my dish is within broom's reach from a window in the house. Sure beat trudging outside every few hours today.

The snow has finally stopped and there's another 7" on the drive from my morning plowing. I'm going to bed and hoping it's somewhat melted by tomorrow. What a mess.

It all depends on the snow.

Granular rotten snow makes like hundreds of ball bearings that can stop you up on a hill with only a couple of inches.

Soft fresh wet snow that is 2 feet deep won't stop you though.

Freds:
Did I read somewhere that you are in North East, PA? If so, you really got a nice wallop yourselves. When it was all said and done I had 36" on my deck. That's a two day total. Unreal.

Yep, not exactly in the snow belt like you are, but those of us a couple miles from the lake can get hit hard at times, too.
What a mess. Never lost the power like some areas, though.

36", wow! I guess I was *lucky*. It wasn't very fun as it was working outside Sunday. I sure would have hated to be trudging through 3 feet of snow. I might have lost a couple of the little guys (Cairn Terriers) /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
