I was at a Deere dealer researching armor kits and he mentioned the fact that there was going to be a new release of 4x30 CUT products coming out. Anyone else hear or know anything about this?

I heard rumors of a 4x20 series introduced to dealers, late this summer. Nothing about a 4x30 series.

Been watching. Here's what I have:

[*] JD has said they are out to "re-invent the CUT"

[*] IF they keep the current naming system, it'd be 4x20. They might not.

[*] Expect far fewer models with more value.

[*] They will be ORANGE !! (just KIDDING!!!)

[*] I suspect iMatch will be bested by an even easier hook up. Might include the pto.

[*] Better lighting. Maybe HID?

I'd be happy with a tilt-up hood, a la New Holland Boomer.
With Deere's marketing savvy, strong reputation, and dealer network they should be able to take away Kubota market share...even with a product that doesn't actually "re-invent" the CUT.
Deere needs to work at bettering the education of their dealers and "block men". I am always amazed at the ignorance of competition that some Deere people have. I had one former, long-time Deere block man tell me that he didn't realize how strong Kubota's sales were until he started working at a Kubota dealer. Deere always told him that they were selling more compact tractors than they ever did...but they didn't mention that they were losing market share all this time because the market was growing so fast.
When Deere puts their mind to something, they can make it happen.

I would say ur rumors are probaly true i've heard there going to 3 models for cuts instead of current 6/7 models and the 4x sounds like current model structures tho it could be a code series # to go along with the new construct programs they currently have. Other than that were in the dark about cuts..

I doubt it, Kubota has no plans to update the XX30 series better known as L30's. Until Kubota gets the L40's gong, JD will wait to use Kubotas old numbers just like the XX10 series. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Of course I'm kidding. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Wait a minuite! So Deere would only have the new style 4000s out no more advantage series then? Good thing I got the 990 last summer. I'll have to ask my boss on the new models sometime. They are always interesting to see.

The advantage series are great tractors for the $$ but one of the reasons I bought a 4000-Ten model is because I wondered how long it would be before Deere replaced the 790/990.

Whoops... my mistake. Yes, it was 4x20 that he mentioned.

Either way I will be interested to see what it's all about since I'm still pretty happy with my 4600..
