Gary Fowler: I in no way EXPECT any commercial ZT to cut 5 acres an hour in foot high wet grass, but my point is: Wildly exaggerating mowing capability by basing your advertising on optimal conditions that the vast majority of consumers will not experience is just plain HYPE and BS.
And, BTW...did anybody here actually base their equipment purchase choice for mowing on the "claimed" capability?
I did. Mowing 22-30 acres a week of mostly Bahia with a bit of clover is demanding. My Ferris dealer listened to my problems and sold me a product that meets the demand. 3100z 61" 36hp. In addition to a Procat 52" we knock down 8-9ac per hour combined, with the Ferris doing 60-75% of the total.
