5 best uses for Top and Tilt

Just had the upper and right cylinders changed out to hydraulic on my Kubota. Had the upper for awhile, and found it helped at times with a rear rake,
but what I really want to know is how to use the box blade and a rear blade, and anything else you can think of, with the new hydraulics.
I've watched the EA video, but I'd like to find out what our members most successfully use their top and tilts for.
So, five best uses? Winner will get a new dream tractor from Santa.

Not sure if I can come up with five things to get on your list but.....For what it's worth it makes using implements easier by that I mean adjusting from the seat instead of getting on and off the seat to adjust. That was the biggest plus for me, you'll find being able to fine tune what your doing is another plus. Makes hooking up to an implement easier in case your implement is not sitting on level ground. Well can not think of anything else right now but I'm sure you will get some great suggestions here on TBN.:thumbsup:

#1 on my list would be using 3PH pallet forks on uneven ground.
#2 rear blade.
#3 landscape rake.
#4 would be interested to try it with the tiller.
#5 would give me a real good excuse to finally get some rear remotes.

I absolutely love my top n tilt!
1: Two days ago, I was pushing snow and spreading ice melt with my 3 point broadcast spreader. There was a dock and set of steps that needed ice melt. With my top n tilt, I was able to angle the spreader to hit the dock and steps, without leaving my tractor cab. Brilliant!
2: I have a Landpride 72" overseeder. The top n tilt comes in handy seeding hill transitions to flat, ditches, other uneven terrain.
3: Picking up round hay bales is made much easier with the top and tilt.
4: Grading with either a box or angle blade is awesome. You can put a perfect crown or slop on a gravel driveway, and grade a ditch beautifully.
5: Mowing with a brush hog or 3pt finish mower is made easy with the top n tilt. Again hill transitions or even just tilting up higher for transport or loading and unloading the trailer.

If you use any 3pt implements, there won't be a day that you do not find your top n tilt handy, convenient, and much more efficient than a conventional 3pt.

Can't beat what has already been said, I find it most useful with my box blade with hydraulic scarifiers, but it is really handy for the other uses also.

I don't have a quick hitch yet, and using the crowbar to get implements on is really getting old.
These hydraulics should help; ok, one last question.
With top and tilt, am I better with a one piece quick hitch or the two piece as advertised here?
I'm thinking two but I just don't know.

What you do not realize is that the question you ask is a declaration of war on TBN. :shocked:

I had two of the frame (one piece) QH and sold them both almost immediately. Those simply do not fit implements with different spans between the lift pins. It has to be one measurement and that has to be exact.

I have both a CAT 1 tractor and a CAT 2 tractor as do you. Thus, many of my attachments have different spans. Plus, the homemade pieces are of many differing spans between the lift pins. The two piece, like the Pat's Easy Hitch, make hooking up all of my instruments a breeze.

Plus, if your implements are on uneven ground or don't line up perfectly you can hook up the non-hydraulic Tilt side and simply lift the hydraulic side from underneath to make the connection. The Top then can be maneuvered back and forth until the top link lines up perfectly, slide the pin through, and off you go.

OK, now the rest of you guys out there can tee off and flame all you want. :laughing:

I bought a set of PATS for my tractor and they are out in my shop somewhere in the box I think. With the TnT, I find really don't need them. I don't change equipment a lot though.

PATS is a good product and great people with which to deal, I just don't find them useful for my purposes; other really like them.

IMO, the Delta hook QH is the best. Very costly, but you get what you pay for.
