5\' box blade on BX2200
Yesterday I thought about how we often hear the question of tractor/box blade size and workability...
I had the good fortune of getting some dirt dumped beside/on my driveway by the state who was grading the road edges. I had the backhoe on the back of my B2910, so I figured I would try my 5' box blade on the back of the BX2200 at the end of the day, since I was going to be scraping fresh, moist, soft stuff and doing final clean up, not real earth moving.
I had my mower deck on but it looked like that would not be a problem, and it wasn't. No loader... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif ...
But after I get a full box to where I want to dump it, I raise the 3PH and low and behold, the tractor does a wheelie! Yep, the box is heavier than the tractor/mower on the other side of the rear wheels is! The stuff I was dealing with was wet enough to stick together and not fall our of the box real easy. I guess if it had been real dry it might have been different...
It is strange moving the 3ph lever and having the front wheels come up... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif ...rather than the implement!
It wasn't long before the backhoe was off and the box blade was on the back of the larger tractor... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
