Some of older Kubota's the PTO was CCW rotation. Better be sure you know what you are buying. You might get it home and it runs backwards.

Maybe he meant to say on an older Yanmar the older ones have 3 pto speeds 540 7xx and 1xxx something.

I believe it red lines at 3000 rpm

The L2550 had 540/1000 rpm out of the same output shaft. The CK-25 had 540/1000 out of the same rear output shaft. The B7200 had 540/850 out of the same rear output shaft. I have never seen a Kubota unless you are talking super old that turned backwards. My L2550 and B7100 are both pretty old and turn the standard direction on the pto.

MANY of the really old compacts (several brands) had odd things about their PTO (off speeds, reverse rotation ect.) and odd ball tools made for them...

Better sort it out EXACTLY what he's selling before you buy it.

Best way is to stand in front of the tiller take the shaft and turn the shaft CCW and it should try and move fwd.
