I thought YellowgascanBuddy.com was funny. But of course I am just a dumb ole redneck.

Everyone likes to take a swipe at you when your on top, much easier to blame someone else if your business goes belly up. On the other hand, Wally sure is forcing a ton of American companies to outsource to China taking away alot of jobs here. There has to be a way to appease the consumer while keeping our own countrymen working?? Have you ever seen a Wally World shareholders meeting? It's like a Superbowl type event. They expect growth every quarter and they are quite good at delivering. Eventually they will step on their "tie" and stumble and someone else will be the target of all the controversy.penokee said:Confused!! My Father had a neighborhood (Mom & Pop) Grocery Store during WWII and for a few years after. Large Food Chain stores: A&P, etc. put him ouit of business. My uncle had a small Gas Station for several years and the large Gas Stations/Quick Marts put him out of business. I don't recall many if any Consumers trying to get these small businesses back so they could pay higher prices and have fewer choices. Competion is the American way, and the Consumer invariably wins - can't understand the hate for WalMart among so many in our Society.
I bought my Yellow Cans at Walmart and donated the savings.

Interesting quote that you and others have continually stated. Does anyone have real facts to back this up? Define a ton. Maybe a few companies but that's probably it.NewToy said:On the other hand, Wally sure is forcing a ton of American companies to outsource to China taking away alot of jobs here.
Have you ever walked around a Wal-Mart and looked at the point of origin of most of their merchandise? You will see Stanley Tools, Schwinn Bicycles GE compact refrigerators and lots of other well known "American" names. Look closely and see where they are manufactured. I mean you have to look because they have that "Made in China" tag creatively obscured. No real facts here, just astute observations. One fact, if Wal-Mart were a country they would be #7 on the list of importers from China. They recently opened a few stores in China, the Wally cultural liaison worked with the Chinese setting up their Deli's. You can buy a live turtle there, not a pet, we're talking dinner here.MadReferee said:Interesting quote that you and others have continually stated. Does anyone have real facts to back this up? Since I made the same mistake.....RayH said:Back to the yellow can issue.
Be careful what yellow "diesel" can you buy. I bought one from TSC a couple years back. 5 Gal, yellow, even said diesel on the side. All fine and good until I try to put a diesel fuel nozzle in the filler hole and it wont fit. The hole is to small for a diesel pump nozzle. A gas fuel nozzle fits fine, the diesel nozzle is just too big. Wanna buy it for cheap? Only used once.
