They may have beefed up the 5' one, as back when I had mine I recall there being a more-substantial weight difference. I do not think the 3520 would have a problem powering either, but one does lose some maneuverability with the larger 72" in some cases. I suppose my opinion could be jaded by where I live. With lots of steep and tight places, having a larger attachment is not always better. Like many other posts, I suppose a lot of what the right choice is intended use and space. If the cutting is going to be lighter pasture or field work on flatter ground with few obstacles, then the 6' may be a good choice. If the cutting is heavy and on uneven ground with tighter turns and off-camber stuff (like I would have) then the smaller one is the better choice. I have had two 3720's and had a 5' one on one of mine for a short time. It had no trouble powering it through some pretty nasty cutting, so I suspect power is not going to be an issue either way. My concern is that the 3000 series machines, with their short wheelbases and relatively narrow stances, tend to "feel" heavy implements in back more than a 4000 series, for example. I know my 3720 occasionally would have it rear end jerked off line if I made a quick turn with my 5' and I would think that could be amplified with a larger cutter in terrain I noted above.
