Thanks, Gizmo36. We have had that guy for about 3 1/2 years. In fact, he just turned 4 years old last month. He is a great producer, 60 kids so far.
You can see other pics of him on our Web site Walking H Boer Goats

Good luck to you.

Speaking of cedar, I had to listen to my Dad complain about having to cut some more fence posts to replace the ones on the south fenceline. He said those posts should have lasted longer, so he didn't have to redo them.
When questioned about the last time he replaced them, he said he hadn't, but those posts were the ones "you boys" put in. "You boys" put those posts in back in 1967 or 1968, so go figure on how long he thinks they should have lasted.

With the amount of work it took to do it in those rocks, I am glad it didn't happen any more frequently!!!

So I'm not the only one thinking about putting in cedar posts with the bark still on...

Hey, where's your snow? :)

On my Dad's place, you were surprised when you hit something like topsoil, as the norm was hitting rocks, with an occasional touch of dirt. Here in Florida, the only rocks I hit are when somebody buries a concrete block in a hole to keep their dogs from digging out.
