I am ready to do my first 50 hour service on my BX25. The manual says to change engine oil/filter, no problem. It also say to replace the transmission oil filter and clean the strainer but not to change the fluid. am I gonna lose all the fluid when I pull the strainer?

If it's like the BX23, and I'm pretty sure it is, you probably will...I'd just change the fluid. That's what I did...Better safe than sorry.

I did the fluid as well on the 50 Hour for my BX25. Maybe a waste but I will error on the side of caution.

Cheers,

I believe there was another thread on here indicating an error in the Manual and that the fluid is supposed to be changed. I followed the manual on mine upon advice of the mechanic, but if I had it to over would change.
