This might shed some light on why you SHOULD change the hydraulic oil and filter at 50 hours. My neighbor bought a small John Deere tractor last year for his wife to use around their horse property. The tractor is about the same size as a B7800.
Well, because the factory did not specify a "Break in" oil change at 50 hours, he didn't do it! At 130 hours, still using the factory fill fluids and filters, the FEL stopped working on the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
The JD dealer sent out a repair man and low and behold he found the hydraulic filter plugged. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Now, if there was enough foriegn material (IE metal dust, machine shavings, etc) circulating around in the hydraulic system to plug up the filter, how much more do you think there is that gets by the filter??
Oil and filters are cheap insurance. I can't begin to imagine why someone would be so cheap as to not change oil and filters at 50 hours. The engine, transmission and hydraulic system break in oil change is the most critical fluid change you can do!! Period.
