I have had my BX24 for about 2 months now, and am getting itchy to have the oil changed, even though I only have about 25 hours. Should I get the 50 hours service done to get it over with, or perhaps just change the oil so I won't be paranoid. I have regularly checked all fluids, which all seem fine, and the oil is definitely not black, but I sure would like to get rid of any early engine metal scraps sooner than later.

timalabin, chill out, clean the air filter, have some more seat time. I'm sure 50 hrs must be a good time to have the fluids changed the first time. If it were a car 25hrs would be less than 1500 miles, think about it.

I'm with humble on this one. Get another 25 hours in the seat and don't sweat it. At 50 you gotta change engine AND hydraulic oil. Kubota engines are notoriously tough (see any threads about actual engine failures in here??). The hydraulics are the part to be paranoid about, but not under warranty.

Agree, no need to spend the money when you don't need to. If that 2 months turns into 12 months then you can cut loose on it. But even then 12 months and 25 hours I might only spin on a new filter, the oil would still be good.
As mentioned shake the ait filter a few times (I do this about every 5-10 hours). Pull it out and gently knock it on the front tire. Stay away from compressed air. In the long run a dirty air filter could cause more problems than oil with a few more hours on it.
