The Kubota M4900 has a isolated platform and a rubber mat to dampen shock and vibration.

When it comes down to it... go with a major manufacturer dealer who you feel offers good service and whose tractor you feel comfortable on.

Chip, With the loader on, you better wear a kidney belt. Not that bad, but it is rough. With it off, it's not near as bad, but not perfect. Funny, but my old tractor has a much smother ride. However, it is 1300 lbs less w/o the loader. After searching for so long though, I simply took what I thought was the best tractor at the best price. MP

If I was buying a 50 hp utility tractor I would get a 451 or 461 series Massey 4x4 with low profile tires. Tractor weight is higher and should ride good. Stability on hills should be excellent also.

I too can recommend the Kubota M4900/ M5700 tractors. The ride is much better than my old tractor, a Kubota L2250 and a much smaller tractor. My M4900DT with loader and 16.9x28 loaded rears is very stable and smooth. Plenty of power and all the features you look for in a utility tractor. Plus some good deals can be had on these units because of the switch to the new xx40 series.

I noticed you got a NH TC40, how does it ride when mowing? I borrowed a neighbor's and it beat me to death. I've also rented a Kubota 3400 that bounces around a lot. The most comfortable ride I've found is my father-in-law's old Massey 261. It's a full size ag tractor, but it goes everywhere I need it to. That's why I'm leaning toward a full size tractor.

The TC40 DA I have used rides fine if the ground is smooth. My TN70A is bigger and will ride smoother than a TC for a given speed and ground condition. But that only makes sense, as the TN70A weighs more and is bigger. I rode in the local farmer’s 350HP NH monster with quad tires in the back and it was smooth when going over my property. My TN70A (70HP) "bounces" when going over the same ground when compared to his 350HP brute. Weight and size matter.

The TC40 is a great tractor. The Kubota is a great tractor.
