I have 35 hrs on my bx now and its almost wintertime and I figure I will put about 15 to 20 hours on it during the winter. I dont feel like doing a 50hr serv in the cold(no heated garage) /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gifDo you think its all right to go over 5hrs before I do the service. This way I can do it in the spring time /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I can't see a problem in running a few hours over service interval and sometimes it's inevitable - if a service is due in the middle of harvest, for example. I do it frequently in my car and it never seems to affect the warranty. You might be best to get an email ok from your dealer though.

Kubota honors the warrantee if you do the service yourself. Just buy the materials and keep the receipt. Thety will not know how many hours were on it when you do it. The service is very easy. Well within the skill level of someone who has little experience. Not impying anything about your skill level. Just some people may not be comfortable doing it. About the 5 hours over? I wouldn't worry about it. This stuff isn't that critical.

I just did my 50 hour service on mine last weekend and the old UDT fluid looked as clean as new. I understand that you can't see thermal breakdown, additives, etc... but I wouldn't worry at all about going 5 hours over.

If you do your own 50 hour service and find anything suspicious I would take it to the dealer. I took off my air cleaner and found the inner element split open and covered with black soot. It looked like some how it had back fired or a valve stuck. So I took it to my dealer, they had never seen that before. They put it on the dyno and said hp was to low and they are still trying to diagnose the problem.

i DONT THINK ITS A PROBLEM.Even though the fluid is probablt clean its important to get a new filter on and then take that screen out behind the tire. You will find filings on it,its normal.i think you need to drain to do this.
