Ah I now see what you mean. It does make sense. I never have time to ask the guys what new products are comming out until I see it in the shop in person. Today I noticed a new 790 we had, had quite a poor paint job on it. You could see the yellow primer yet on the grill and other parts we poorly painted. I sure hope JD improves quality on these new models and not make them some pile of crap tractors. We as dealers need quality products to compete.

I thought the 790 was built entirely by Yanmar in Japan, all Deere does is uncrate and pop on the wheels. Now the Japanese cannot possibly have quality issues - so it has to be global warming - or something...

Very funny RockyRidge. I am laughing my head off. I am sure Deere paints these things after seeing the poor paint quality on this one. If you look at the hood that too is poorly painted. Well, we got in a new 250,000 dollar chopper and I was amazed to see the poor paint quality as well as the manager of the store. Face it Rockyridge if you have been around older JD equipment and look at the paint quality now where they don't get into the corners anymore you know they are cutting corners and saving money. Prop the back of the seat to a new HPX. You will see black metal in the corners of the seat frame and under the box too. Way back in the 80s and early 90s every single speck of metal was covered in bright green or yellow paint. Now sometimes Deere can't even get 2 body panels to be the same green. I see products now that can't even compete with the quality of the old especially garden tractors. Every new piece of equipment we get off the semi it looks worse and worse each time. I want Deere to be a leader in quality like they used to be and not fall back to Kubota and others due to poor painting. Deere had it going for them in the early 90s with quality products. I own a lot of them. Do you want to take second place to a Kubota? I know I don't. I want to proudly say I drive a cream of the crop Deere. It seems to me he gives you crap about your machine in some of your posts. But anyway I should have stated the JD choppers are made in Germany so bad painting can happen at any of Deere's plants but I know they can do much better. Maybe I am too picky about my stuff but there is a change going on at Deere and I don't like it very much.

Those look more like our current 6x20 series here in the U.S. Maybe our 5x20 series will soon look like that? I would be afraid that pricing might look more like the 6x20 series too.
