The Euro Deere 5020 series is a hi-bred built at Mannheim. It has a frame like the 6000,but with a smaller size like the 5000 series. Interesting looking tractor idea. Make a dandy haying/loader tractor.

I am an engineer for Deere supplier that makes the SCV's for the 4710 and the Fifty-Twenty series. We have been producing a new 3 spool SCV for the 4710 (or 4020 I guess) for a couple of months now.
Deere will go into production with the new line (5025) in November. You can figure they will be available in the December time frame. I won't go into details, but there will be a new electro-hydraulic SCV and new mid and rear mount 2 and 3 spool SCV's. I have seen a test tractor that was intentionally mis-labled. I would have gotten to play on it, but it was almost out of fuel /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Any idea why frames haven't been used much on tractors? I would think that would make clutch jobs easier to still have a rolling chasis with the engine out. No more breaking it in half. I realize you don't build something just to make one particular job easier to do but there must be some other advantages to the frame?

What is a Electro-hydraulic SCV? My guess is that it is actuated with an electric motor instead of a mechanical lever? Similiar comparison the electric vs manual transfer case on a 4wd pickup. What benefit does this provide? Operator convience?

Some of the larger deeres have the electro hydraulic SCVs.

Less prone to sticking... can be fine tuned... Could be even more ergonomic... easier to add additional functions... cool...

Here are a couple pics (thanks to www.toytractorshow.com and one of its viewers) of the new 5025 series front end. So far the main differences are the new 4 & 5 cylinder Teir II engines, new hood and some other minor changes
