Bought a brand new Dodge with a Cummins back in 2006. The ape was at least 500 lbs. You are soooo right....I think they applied slow dry contact cement then torqued to 800 ft lbs.

Bought mine new in mid 2004 (when the "new" 600 motor came out). Never had issues with the oil filter being difficult to get off.

Perhaps you are just incredibly strong.....
