5065 e starting question

I have a 2012 5065e, love tractor. Per manual it must be in park and not have 3 pt engaged to complete start circuit. Sometimes I forget park but always have clutch in. Sometimes it starts in Neutral? When not it always starts in Park. No big deal but it that indicative that the contact that is supposed to be closed by shifting to Park is sometimes stuck closed when in Neutral? Like I said, no big deal but per manual must be in Park. Just wondering. I guess before there was a Park the safety feature was called " neutral safety switch". Now maybe it's "park safety switch". I have even cranked tractor when not in seat when sure in Park to keep from getting run over. Don't do that anymore but when messing with 3 pt or loader hook ups have done that. Realizing things fail, I stopped that since that 16.9x28 water filled tire might hurt running over me. Thanks

I think you mean "PTO disengaged" not "3 pth disengaged". To my knowledge the 3 pth is always engaged. My neighbor has a 5065e and I have 5075e. I have never tried to start mine in neutral, always park. But my neighbor does say his will start in neutral but hasn't mentioned a "intermitant" issue.

My 5303 will start in neutral, a practice i don't use regularly though.

My mistake. Of course the 3 pth always engaged. Yes, I accidentally started in neutral one day. But it always starts in park.
