5065e PTO slight squeal when engaging quickly?

I have a 2012 5065e. It is the 9 x 3 TSS Transmission. Everything runs fine. Occasionally, if I move the PTO lever too quickly engaging, I will get a momentary (1 second) squealing noise. It Sounds like a belt slipping on a pulley. I am unaware there is a belt in the power transfer path. Is this noise normal? Is it a clutch inside the transmission/transfer case housing? Or is it the slip clutch on my Bush-hog 6 foot , single spindle cutter? Thanks

It's the external slip clutch on your shredder. both mine do the same. Be glad the squeal is there, it tells you the clutch is working (slipping) correctly. When the noise ceases, time to slip the clutch because the friction plates have seized to each other....

Thanks. Last year I performed the maintenance check on my Bush Hog slip clutch. It has you loosen the springs to verify it slips. Then re-tighten them to a specified compression dimension.

What I do with mine is I measure the clamped bolt length with a set of calipers, loosen them, slip the clutches and then retighten them to the original length. I think Weasler and other companies have online charts that specify torque settings for the clamp bolts.
