Hello,

New member here so take it easy on me!

I am shopping for a new, 2013 JD 5065E open station, 4x4. I cannot find out the Tier info on this tractor and would like to know this in order to know if I should buy now or wait and get a 2014. I do not know the Tier info on the 2014 either but I am told by the dealer that it is going to change. Buying in 2014 would be helpful for tax reasons but if the 2014's have new emissions junk then I may be better of buying now while I can find a 2013.

Can anybody tell me the emissions Tier on the 2013 vs 2014 and offer any advice on which to buy, all else being equal? Will the interim Tier info apply to the 55 and 75 as well in the series ( I may go up or down one model)

Thanks for any help.

The current 5055e, 5065e, and 5075e tractors have tier 2 emissions. I don't see any announcements for changes for 2014, but it is definitely possible. The 5085e and 5100e tractors that were introduced this year has interim tier 4 emissions.

Thank you, very helpful. Dealer says that changes are coming this fall with the 2014 series and thus a pretty good price increase but that may all be sales talk.
