Mine does not have the same problem as others describe, I would guess something with the brakes on the new E series has changed and dealers are waiting for Deere to find the solution (ungraded part?) Hopefully no one is killed in the mean time, you should have brakes on first application every time.

Yes I agree and suspect you're absolutely correct. I have nothing to compare to because my other tractors are (Deere) hydrostatic. It's definitely not acceptable and has put me in a pinch more than once when using the brakes to steer whilst pushing snow on my steep, icy driveway.
