Yep - you can get more info from Drudge and probably Newsmax, etc., as the day goes on. They made it to within 40 miles of the US.
Since we have the Reagan in our fleet, Rush has posted the picture and christened the green vessel the SS Edward Kennedy - multiple puns there, if you think about it.
I was kinda hoping they'd make it, get on to TBN, and share the plans with us. Really.

If they come to NC, they can get a driver's license and not even have to speak english!!! They can register the truck, too.

I saw a big pic of it in the paper.. it had a canvas cylindrical top over the bed.. and a couple 55 gallon drums welded together on an angle iron frame on each side ( r&L ), and in the rear/front looked like it had welded together some metal flotation boxes... Looks like it could have literally driven right into the water.... wonder if they rigged up something on the drive shaft for propulsion?.. it looked very similar to something that was built on junkyard wars a while back.. except the chevy they used was 70's / 80's.. same concept though...

I saw that on the news today. Supposedly they had a prop rigged up to the rear of the truck. The Coast Guard took them into custody, sank the truck, then sent them back to Cuba.

ya know, i don't care it all the uday and kusay's get wiped out, but theres no excuse for not towing that classic chevy to the states...

seeing stuff like this makes you realize how good we have it. if they are willing to build this and try it just for a chance to live here, like they found out its not for sure they will make it.
