WHat does the john deere 5103 cost new with and without a front end loader?

Depending upon how you "accessorize" it, you should be looking in the 13-14k range.

You can go to this site and build your own 5103. You can normally do a little better than that at the dealer, but if gives you a starting point. I think the 5103 list for around $15,600. I couldn't find any info on the loader, but I would guess it's somewhere between 3 and 4 k.

I bought my 5103 for $12,500 brand new. I also bought it w/ a 6ft mid duty bushhog that was slightly used (not even scratched). The toal price came to about $13,700. The loader, which is not quick attach, was about $4200. The 5103, 5203 and 5303 are, in my opinion, the best bang for the buck tractor JD has right now. I've put 25 hours on mine and have had no problems. You will run out of traction well before you run out of power.

I gave $18,500 for my 5203 with 512 loader back in August.
Have 81 hours on it now. Has plenty of power and like Deerefan said you'll run out of traction before you stall. The 5203 is about 1500 bucks higher than the 5103.

If you are not stuck ( no pun intended) on 4wd, you will like this tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Paid $14300 for my 5103 then also added 512 loader for $3900 and like you guys said "it loses traction before it loses power" excellent tractor for the price.

I am paying 14400 in IA for one with a front end guard. JD has low interest rates until the end of Jan. including 0% for a year with 20% down. Any attachmenta you order at the same time is also discounted and subject to the low interest rates.

A new 5103 with out loader would be $15,672.00 and with loader it would be $19,672.00.the 512 loader is ment to stay on the tractor and can not be taken off.good luck /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hello all I am kinda of new here but, I am in the process of buying a 5303 with a loader to do some light work. I must say I was very happy when my local dealer was very agressive on price he quoted me: $15,500.00 for the tractor, $3500.00 for loader w/o bucket but with a bale spear, and 500.00 for extra rear outlets. What do you guys think pretty good deal?

yea, good deal. I paid 12.5 for my 5103 and 1200 for a used (barely) mid duty 6ft bushhog. The loader for my 5103 should be the same one, it was around 4k.

The best quote I got on a brand new 5303 was $14,900. I think I could have made a mistake by not jumping on it. The price that he quoted you for the tractor sounds pretty fair to me.

I don't know about the tractors, but that dealer seems to want your business! That says something to me.

Well Mike he does and I like that!!! Up until last spring we could never get any thing bought out of that store, at that time we where buying a new baler and a new discbine. He asked if he could quote us and his prices where alot better than the price that the other salesman at the same dealership gave us over the phone. So needless to say I bought both from him. Now don't get me wrong, the Deere dealer is good too, but I am torn on what to do!!! Honestly I am a little scared, when the old man finds out that I am thinking of "another" brand he will flip out. So guys I know you all bought green, but why is the anything that I don't know?

HeeHee,

I am an orange guy, but this new Deere has the price and features I want. Not to mention a dealership close by with a great rep.

So, to me the tractor thingy on brand loyalty is not that important, it is the tractor and how I feel it will work for me as a total package.

The blue boys showed up this past summer with their TS100's and complete line of NH equipment to do some work for us. Needless to say, those machines knocked my socks off too! And the operators were very happy with their packages!

Blue almost ready to work!

Maybe have the Deere dealer try and court you better? Any chance for an on-site demo?

--Good luck!

The NH is an old design that has been reskinned. The JD is a newer design.

The 521 loader will fit the 5x03 series too. It is a quick attach type. 90% of all people don't take the loader off, so the less expensive one will work fine. Either fits the tractor.

Yeah, but will the 5303 hold up to what I need, or will it be a burden of problems. The more I think, the more realistic the NH seems to be. I just think that a NH will be a better choice, price dosen't matter I need a realiable machine that I am not going to be afraid to work.

I'd put the burden of problems aside, and focus on your dealer support if that is what your choice is about.

With machinery these days, the big name brand companies all have quality products, some dealers even have years and years of previous model support knowledge.

Just my thoughts.

I have 81 hours on my 5203 so I can't say for long term, but IMHO I cannot visualize not being able to work that tractor long and hard.
