5105 Fuel Filter O-Ring

The filter itself doesn't have a seal but a groove around the outside edge. This is where the o-ring fits. JD used to include it with the filter but now they don't. I checked with NAPA and the Wix filter is same. I've attached an image of the Wix filter so you get a better idea of the problem.

I bought a WIX filter from O'Reillys, it came with the o-ring.

O'Reillys couldn't help, they had the same filter as NAPA.
I sent an email to JD Parts Corporate and they told me that I need to get the complete seal kit RE516553. This will have the o-ring along with several others that I don't need.
The local dealer has this kit for $15
Note to self, keep this o-ring and use it until it falls apart!

Measure this O-Ring; OD and diameter of the stock and see if it can be matched up to standard O-Rings
