Dougster, I am wondering with all the 11s in the model number...511, 811, 611, if indeed, they are all made by Bradco (like someone mentioned earlier) and may line up. My guess is 4 holes will be close. :D An apdaper plate will might need cutting and welding new flanges, as there are cutouts on mine for some of the bolts. If he can get a part number for the 811's mainframe, we can at least compare part numbers. ;)
hugs, Brandi
I think all the elevens (11) are just industry code for a nominal 11-foot hoe. I tried to determine whether or not these Bobcat 811's are a Bradco product or based in any way on the Bradco design... but I found no connection to Bradco at all. Doesn't mean it's not there somewhere, somehow... but I certainly couldn't determine it.

I still think he should go for a used Bradco 609. Lots of used ones around at good prices. But I *do* understand the 11-foot thang. Definitely wish I had 11-feet myself.

Depending how massive we are talking I just might have some behind the chicken shed. It is in hiding. My wife has me on a 30 day rule. If I can't use what I bring home in 30 days I don't bring it home. That rule has just made me be a little more creative. :D
There wouldn't happen to be a ~73" hardened cutting edge back there... would there??? :D

No But i have to go to the shop tomorrow. I'll see if there is any wear plate around. We use it in our wheelabrator. Sometimes there is some kicking around.
What are you looking for width x thickness

Well, let me tell you... it's not even a full 2-feet between the 509 and 511... more like a foot and a half I think. But when you need it, you need it!

Even digging a 7 or 8 foot deep hole... it's gotta be a lot easier with an 11-footer than with a 9-footer.

The 11's are the digging depth. All 3 models can dig to a depth of 11'-1
You mean to tell me the 811's digging depth is exactly 11' 1"? This is getting more intrigring all the time. I know the 611 and 511 are almost identical, but to have the Bobcat dig the same depth is more than a coincidence. I have an email contact at Bradco, I will ask him. This time tomorrow, we might know for sure.

Brandi got my info here

I think you might be able to squeak a little more depth out of a Bobcat mounted unit just because of it's proxmity to the ground vs a tractor mount:cool:
